Summery of the content
This play is about war and the use of violence. War is symbolized by a masked demon. The demon at first lures the innocent people to come to him by making great promises, but then takes off his mask and poisons the people so that they start fighting and even killing each other. A courageous and clever little shoemaker finally succeeds in driving the demon away.

Number of rolls and duration of a performance
The play assigns parts to 18 children. This number can be increased by adding or reduced by decreasing the number of soldiers and/or scientists (non- speaking roles). The duration of a performance is about 25 minutes.
